Surface water often hides deeper problems. Watch for:

• Soft or spongy spots in the floor — this means the subfloor beneath is already absorbing moisture
• Bubbling, warping, or lifting in flooring or wall panels
• Discoloration on ceilings that keeps spreading even after the visible water is gone
• A musty smell that lingers — mold can begin forming within 24 to 48 hours in the right conditions
• Doors or windows that suddenly stick — structural movement from moisture saturation
• Visible mold growth within days of the event

In manufactured homes, the bigger issue is usually what's underneath — wet insulation, a damaged vapor barrier, or deteriorating floor joists that won't announce themselves until the damage is significant. If anything on this list applies, don't wait on it.
